EDDIE MONEY TO CELEBRATE “TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT” WITH THE SOUND OF MONEY US FAMILY TOUR
Rock & Roll icon Eddie Money proudly announces his US Tour with his family band. The Sound of Money Tour kicked off in early June and includes performances from daughter Jesse Money on background vocals, son Dez Money on guitar and son Julian Money on drums. On a recent stop at House of Blues Cleveland Examiner raved, “the band displayed musical chops (and stage presence) beyond their years on the wistful “Baby Hold On” and soul-charged “Wanna Be a Rock and Roll Star” (both from Money’s 1977 debut). With Dez and cohort Robert Dartnell on guitar, the black-clad Eddie was free to shake a tambourine, wail on saxophone (“We Should Be Sleeping”), thwack a cowbell (“Walk On Water”), and huff on harmonica (“No Control”).”
After years on the road and endless traveling with his band, Money has gathered the talented musicians and vocalists, also known as his children, to hit the road and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience together in the true spirit of camaraderie and family. "This is the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music, a story about a very talented music family, so we decided to call the tour with the kids, The Sound of Money tour. The tour has a new twist on all of my greatest hits plus new songs with the kids. For the first time in my life I am putting my family first and using this time to bond with them and actualizing a dream of mine by showcasing their talent on stage. God has granted me my wish to bring to my fans the experience out there. I think it's something you don't want to miss!" Money states about the tour.
Eddie Money burst onto the scene with his double-platinum album on Columbia Records in 1977 spawning the two hits "Baby Hold On" and "Two Tickets to Paradise". Legendary rock impresario Bill Graham raved "Eddie has it all...not only can he sing, write, and play, he's a natural performer." Over the course of his storied career, Money sold over 28 million records and amassed over 20 hits with overwhelming success at both Pop and Rock radio including "Shakin'", "I Think I'm in Love", "I Wanna Go Back", "We Should Be Sleeping", "Walk On Water", "I'll Get By", and his legendary hit with Ronnie Spector, "Take Me Home Tonight". Money's songs have appeared in dozens of movies including, television shows and hit video games including "Mall Cop", the infamous Geico commercial, "Grand Theft Auto", and "Guitar Hero".
